Pre season cycling training plan
The Pre Season cycling training Plan is perfect for intermediate and advanced riders and is a continuation of the 12-Week Base Builder .
We increase the intensity to prepare you for the season to come whatever your goal may be.
Even if you didn’t use our 12-Week Base Builder plan but have trained consistently for the last several months, a minimum of 6 hours plus of riding weekly and can ride 4-5 hours or 160 km (100-mile) rides, you can use this pre season cycling training plan.
If you have not been training, don’t follow this plan. There is little point in increasing intensity without solid fitness foundations. You would be better off taking the time to establish those foundations by following our 12-week Base Builder or, if you’re not capable of a 100 km (60-mile) ride, consider our developmental Plan.
It is recommended that if you do not have your training zones defined, you purchase the threshold test to ensure that you get the correct training zones calculated, to maximize the quality of your work when using the plans.
