Description
All levels of riders use the twenty-minute warm up routine. The aim of the session is to progressively increase the intensity, ending in some very intense six-second efforts.
This warm-up prepares the body for the effort to come.
You can use the twenty minute warm-up as a warm-up for intense sessions or events, or if repeated, as a workout in itself.
To enable you to carry it out effectively you will need, a bike and/or a turbo trainer with the ability to measure cadence.
If executing the workout indoors, you could also use a watt bike, a bike on rollers or a static bike in a gym.
Use a relatively high gear, but one that allows use of the samegear throughout. For Example: large chain ring, halfway up the rear cassette; for example the 19 or 17 tooth cog.
